Member Rules & Regulations
SO! you are still with us then? THATS THE LAD!. The boys have a code we all live by called the Law ` O the Boys If`n ye seek to join with us you must live by our code or face out wrath!
Who Can Join?:Any person out to make a living by his skill at arms and not opposed to banditry when times get lean.
Who Can`t Join: Any followers of Destruction
No one can take up arms against a brother or sister in anger. Any person who attacks another member will be kicked out or the company.
Division of loot: All monies earned will be divided equally between all members who participated in the hunt. In the event of a magical item being found we can handle this a few different ways:
I. Decide amongst yourself
who gets the item
II. Assign the item a price the person keeping
the item gives that amount of money to be split by the other members
of the hunt
III. Gamble for it (throw dice or some other means)
IV. Donate it to the company where it will be given
to a member for a "that's the Lad!" reward or sold to offset hall
costs.
I think magic items will be VERY rare so this will be important to establish up front ..so there are no feelings of ill will. Once we all get in the game and find out how often magic items appear we can tweak this as needed
Tithing: it will take gold to pay for the upkeep of the Company hall. I plan on having hunts to earn coin to offset the costs. For the special company hunts a % of all profit will be used to offset the costs of operations. Since I have no idea just how high these costs will be the % will be determined at a later date. Don’t worry the special hunts wont happen more than is needed so the rest of the time you’ll be lining your pockets with all the coin.
Leadership: Leaders are chosen by their skill at arms and ability to successfully lead men into action. Leaders will have proven leadership skills. Leadership is very important during group activities less it turn into a large headless chicken session (FYI: Headless chicken refers to running around like an idiot, getting tagged for attack by all the monsters in an area, dying repeatedly, and basically not getting anything productive accomplished. A general lack of support and communication is usually the culprit…)
Get promoted by accumulating “That`s
the Lad!” points.(see Below)
THAT`S THE LAD!
Service to the Company will be rewarded by promotions, gear, and other means… Everyone will be eligible for “That’s the Lad!” points. Every time you go above and beyond the call of duty (helping your mates out of a jam or performing some deed of note) you can be nominated for a point of “That’s the Lad!” after accumulating so many points you will be given rewards (to be determined later but see above for ideas) you must be nominated for points by a company member and the feat must impressthe officers for the points to be awarded. This will give all you lads something to work together for.

BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT FORMED OURSELVES INTO A SOCIETY FOR THE SUPPORT
OF EACH OTHER, WE DO ALL SOLEMNLY ENGAGE OURSELVES TO OBSERVE
THESE PARTICULARS
I. To be obedient to our captain in all his commands,
and faithful to our companions in all their designs and attempts.
II. To be always present at such meetings as
the captain by his sole authority shall appoint, except we have
his leave for the contrary.
III. To stand by one another in any danger to
the last breath, and never to fly from an equal number of opposers.
IV. To help one another when taken and imprisoned,
in sickness, and in any distress whatsoever.
V. Never to leave, if possibly we can help it,
the body of any companion behind us, whether dead or only wounded.
VI. To confess nothing, if taken, to the damage
of our accomplices, though punished even with death itself for
our faithfulness.
This our compact, when any one of us shall break, in any one article, may the greatest plagues fall on him in this world, and eternal damnation seize him hereafter.
